Food and Beverage Label Questions, Answered.
How fast do I get a price for custom food labels?
Upload a PDF or AI file of your label and the quote reads its size, colors and finishes and prices it in seconds. No file yet? Generate a dieline from your label size and it comes with a price.
What is the minimum order for food and beverage labels?
10,000 units per label size, combined across the SKUs that share it, with at least 2,500 per SKU. Four sauce flavors on the same bottle label at 2,500 each meet it together, and every SKU is priced on one quote.
Which labels work for refrigerated or frozen products?
The chill-temperature adhesive on Beverage White BOPP. It is made for labels applied in cold, damp conditions and for products that gather condensation as they go from cold to warm, and our quote moves refrigerated and frozen products to it. It is not a wet-apply adhesive. Condensation is the hardest test, so trial printed labels on your own containers through your cold chain before you approve.
Will the rolls run on my applicator or my co-packer’s line?
Yes, when the roll specification matches the line. Every roll is wound on a 3-inch core. Confirm the unwind direction, the maximum roll diameter and the label position with your line or co-packer, and whether containers are wet, cold or hot when they are labeled.
Do you supply the bottles, jars or cans?
No. PackOS quotes and prints the labels, and you bring the containers. Apply the labels by hand, on your own applicator or through your co-packer.
Do you offer a food-contact adhesive?
Yes, for labels that may touch the food itself. That construction is quoted by our team rather than instantly, so tell us where the label sits and what it touches. Labels on the outside of a bottle, jar or can use our standard or chill-temperature adhesives.
